Bar Graphic Machinery (‘BGM’) has expanded its European business development capabilities opening a new 3,200sqft demonstration centre in Eichen, Germany, in collaboration with its sales and support partner, PorterPac.
BGM partnered with PorterPac in 2020 for distribution of its Elite range of label finishing systems, die cutting slitter rewinders, digital label converting finishing systems and flexible packaging finishing equipment into Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This new facility takes the relationship to the next level enabling more localisation of technical service and support for BGM customers, as well as a new, fully equipped environment for training, education, and customer sales activities.
BGM Managing Director Annemarie Rhodes said: “With PorterPac, we have partnered with a company that offers superb engineering skills, expert market knowledge, technical expertise and a team that reflects our values as a business. The new demo centre investment is a great opportunity for us to work even more closely together. It enables us to support our customers across central Europe showcasing our latest technical innovations and reinforces our commitment to long-term customer relationships and success.”
Jerry Porter, Managing Director of PorterPac, added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our two companies to demonstrate the power of our relationship both at a machine and service level. We’re looking forward to hosting customers on site and driving the business forward in 2022 and beyond.”
Headquartered in Bradford, Yorkshire, BGM recently announced the expansion of its UK operations adding new production and warehousing facilities due to the significant growth the company has been experiencing over the last two years. The new demonstration centre, located at the heart of the DACH region, is complementary to this investment providing an ideal platform to further accelerate the company’s European sales strategy.
