Bar Graphic Machinery (BGM) have completed the installation of LED lighting throughout their design and manufacturing headquarters significantly reducing the companies carbon footprint.
BGM Chairman Bill Rhodes comments: Over the years BGM have implemented many company policies to help lower our carbon footprint, 2014 saw a significant change with all future company vehicles purchased being hybrid, reducing emissions of greenhouse gases such as toxic nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide by as much as 30%.
Exhaust emissions are also a major contributing factor to smog formation and poor environmental conditions. The lower emissions of the hybrid vehicles will help to improve air quality and reduce harmful effects on our health.
Leading by example in the lowering of carbon emissions are also many of the machines from BGM’s extensive Elite portfolio of Converting and Finishing equipment. With die cutting machines running at speeds of up to 250m/min and Inspection Slitter Rewinders running at speeds of up to 300m/min, incredibly efficient using less than 40% energy of your household kettle.
